Information Sessions & Technical Assistance

Grantees and anyone interested in Community POWER can access information and assistance through a variety of means.

Information Sessions

Regular information sessions will be held during the year. These meetings are open to grantees and all interested parties. At the meetings, the following information is regularly provided: updates on current grantee projects, resource materials, announcements, and educational mini-workshops on topics of interest. Past topics have included, "How can community groups really contribute to toxicity reduction?," "Junk mail abatement," "Food waste issues," "The SWMCB's Green Guardian campaign," etc. Information is presented by Community POWER staff, county waste and toxicity reduction staff, Office of Environmental Assistance staff, grantees, and other resource people.

Two open information sessions, with opportunities for questions and answers, will take place in February. Applicants are encouraged to attend one of these sessions and/or to speak directly with a Project Manager prior to submitting a Letter of Interest. You do not need to register for the Information Sessions.
