- Tire Dealers - Local tire dealers recycle old tires. Most tire dealers will accept tires for a fee, even if you did not buy new tires from them. You can also return old tires when you buy new ones.
- County drop-off facilities - Carver, Dakota and Hennepin County drop-off facilities accept car and truck tires (fees may apply). Generally, tractor and other tires larger than four feet in diameter are not accepted; call first.
- Free Vouchers - City of Minneapolis Residents may obtain free vouchers to dispose of up to four tires annually. Call the City of Minneapolis Solid Waste and Recycling Division at 612-673-2917 to request a voucher.
- Municipal clean-up events and collection centers may accept tires.
- Garbage haulers - Some accept tires (fees may apply). Some landfills and transfer stations also accept tires for recycling. See below to find one near you.
